"come feel the radiation" with ITVnet and marillion on '1998 radiation' European Tour as well the first single These Chains. Check out exclusive concert footage from the "Docks" in Hamburg, Germany and backstage interviews and footage from the "Ahoy" in Rotterdam, Holland.

Since the release of radiation, marillion have taken the european charts by surprise. The band virtually ignored from the press to an on-line request to the fans aka:"the Freaks" from keyboardist Mark Kelly, "that anyone who was going to purchase radiation to please do so the week of it's release", in doing so landing the band on many european charts.

Marillion are no strangers to the internet, in 1997 after the release of This Strange Engine informed their fans that they would not be able to tour North America, to support the new album due to lack of a US record deal. What happened next was an unbelievable show of dedication, love and support from the fans, many of whom are part a huge and well organized network of web sites and mailing lists, the "Freaks" decided to start a tour fund and donations flooded in from around the world, some from as far away as Australia (even though marillion have never played there!) they managed to raise more than $60,000 US in donations and made it possible for them to complete a successful 22 date tour of North America.

ITVnet have been lucky to have caught up with marillion on several occasions, first the 1997 "This Strange Engine Tour" in Toronto, Canada. Where we managed to get some exclusive backstage and after-show interviews. Plus the band has been kind enough to let ITVnet show most of the "Hogarth" era, videos including the critically acclaimed movie 'BRAVE' in it's entirety. And of course the 1998 radiation tour in Europe.

'Radiation' is the 10th studio album. A self produced effort, it is one of marillion's most ambitious and personally-charged effort to date, demonstrating an impressive level of musical intervention while maintaining a playfully humanistic energy. Indeed the album is in many ways a landmark for the group, and finds the quintet taking a radically different approach to it's songwriting and recording process.

The band have spent most of it's career operating on its own uncompromising terms, consistently defying expectations while ignoring the dictates of popular fashion to create music that's as adventurous as it is expressive.

Join ITVnet in a "up-close" and personal interview with the H, Mark and Pete of the band plus other interviews from backstage at the 'Ahoy' in Rotterdam, Holland.
